Innovating with the Compressed Earth Block Factory
A cornerstone of our employment efforts is the Compressed Earth Block (CEB) Factory, where innovation meets sustainability. This state-of-the-art facility uses a unique process to create durable, eco-friendly building blocks, transforming raw materials into the foundation for homes and community structures.
How It Works
- The Process:
A mixture of 60% dirt, 30% sand, and 10% cement is hydraulically compressed to produce blocks that exceed U.S. strength standards for cement blocks. - The Workforce:
We employ 25 full-time workers in the factory, offering stable jobs that support families and communities. - The Output:
These blocks are used to build homes, schools, medical clinics, and other vital projects, while also being sold retail to support sustainability goals.
A Vision for Sustainability
Our goal is for the block business to become self-sustaining, generating income to fund future projects while continuing to provide meaningful employment for Haitian workers. Through innovation, dedication, and faith, the CEB Factory embodies our mission to create opportunities that honor God and transform lives.
Why Employment Matters
At Welcome Home Haiti, we know that a steady job is about more than income—it’s about:
- Empowering Families: Giving parents the ability to provide for their children.
- Strengthening Communities: Creating jobs that foster growth and stability.
- Honoring God: Reflecting Christ’s love through work that serves others.
Together, we’re building homes, communities, and hope—one job at a time.
